Dear HWS Faculty Athletics Fellows, |

|
We are sending you this note to introduce you to our ongoing "Most Valuable Players" program. We launched this program in fall 2001 with the objective of correcting harmful misperceptions about student-athletes held by student-athletes themselves and by the broader HWS community and to support the positive academic and social behaviors of most student-athletes. This poject includes 1) careful data collection about student-athlete health and well-being, academic engagement, involvement in campus life, and their career and vocational goals, and 2) educational and media programs designed to get out the information that we collect. Our MVP E-Bits electronic mail messages are one component of our media program to inform the athletic community of results from our surveys (click here to see an example). Since you are now more actively involved with our intercollegiate athletic teams we will be adding your name to the E-Bit distribution list to keep you informed of our latest results. You can browse the E-bits previously published by clicking on the MVP E-Bit icon above or on the link below. If you are interested in some results from the MVP program click ond the results link below. You can also try out a web version of our MVP CD by clicking on its link below. If you do not want to receive E-bits please reply to this message and so indicate. Sincerely, Professor David W. Craig and H. Wesley Perkins
