GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart senior guard Colby Feane (Weedsport/Weedsport, N.Y.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Basketball Co-Guard of the Week this afternoon by the conference office. It’s the third week in a row he has earned the honor.

Feane led Hobart with 18.0 points and became the 19th Statesman to record 1,000 career points in a 2-1 week for the Statesmen. During Hobart’s win at Hamilton on Tuesday, he scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 7-of-8 from the line. On Friday at Skidmore, Feane paced the Statesmen with 18 points, including the 1,000th of his career (on a three-pointer with 12:55 remaining in the second half). He knocked down 7-of-12 against the Thoroughbreds, including 2-of-6 from long range, and dished out four assists. He wrapped up the week with 16 points against Union.

For the week, Feane shot 56.3 percent from the floor, 40 percent from beyond the arc, and 73.7 percent from the line. He also recorded a total of nine assists and four steals.

For the season, Feane ranks among the top 10 in the conference in scoring (3rd, 17.6 ppg), three-point shooting (3rd, .444), steals (4th, 1.91/g), three pointers made (4th, 1.82/g), free throw shooting (6th, .814), field goal percentage (9th, .481) and assists (9th, 2.73/g).

Hobart (7-7, 3-2) is back in action on Jan. 24, when the Statesmen travel to Utica for a non-conference contest. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
