GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior guard Colby Feane (Weedsport/Weedsport, N.Y.) was named the Liberty League Guard of the Week by the conference office this afternoon for his outstanding play during the week ending Jan. 8.

The MVP of the Comcast Marymount Challenge, Feane led the Statesmen men’s basketball team to the tournament title. On Jan. 6, he scored a career-high 39 points as Hobart overpowered North Carolina Wesleyan 92-78. He also registered season-highs in rebounds (5), assists (4), and steals (3).

The following night, Feane continued his hot shooting with 22 points, on 9-17 from the field, as the Statesmen defeated host Marymount in the championship game, 58-51. He also knocked down a season-high four three-pointers. Hobart’s offensive catalyst leads the Statesmen in points per game (16.5) and steals (13).

Hobart returns to action on Jan. 13, when the Statesmen welcome Vassar to Bristol Gym. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
