GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College junior guard Colby Feane (Weedsport/Weedsport, N.Y.) recently was selected to the Liberty League Men’s Basketball All-Academic team for his academic and athletic excellence.

A starter in 13 of the 15 games in which he has played, Feane leads the team in scoring (16.9 ppg) and assists (37) and is second on the team in steals with 37. The junior captain scored a season-high 25 points in three games this year, most recently against Rensselaer on Jan. 29. A two-sport athlete, Feane also is a wide receiver on the Hobart football team. Playing in all 11 games in 2004, Feane caught 31 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns.

Student-athletes from the Liberty League were selected to the team based on the following criteria: sophomore academic standing, at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, and on the team roster for the academic year.

Currently tied for first place, Hobart sports a 6-2 record against Liberty League opponents and a 10-7 mark overall. The Statesmen will return to action when they travel to Union on Feb. 4. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
