GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart senior forward Joe Flacke (Schenectady/Schenectady, N.Y.) and junior guard Colby Feane (Weedsport/Weedsport, N.Y.) were named the Liberty League Men’s Basketball Forward and Co-Guard of the Week, respectively, by the conference office this afternoon. This is Flacke’s second Liberty League Forward of the Week award, while Feane is collecting his third co-guard of the week prize.

Flacke averaged 17.7 ppg, 12.7 rpg, and 2.7 apg, while Feane contributed 17.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.0 spg, and sported a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio in a 2-1 week on the road for the Statesmen.
On Tuesday in a 72-60 win at Hartwick College, Flacke produced his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. On Friday at Union College in front of his hometown fans, he produced a career-high 29 points on 13-of-14 shooting and 3-of-4 from the line, while also pulling down eight rebounds. Flacke scored what proved to be the game-winning basket against the Dutchmen with 21.7 seconds remaining in a 66-65 win. The following afternoon at Skidmore College, he scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass. Flacke also handed out four assists in an 84-74 loss to the Thoroughbreds.

Through 19 games, Flacke leads the team in field goal percentage (.579) and blocked shots (0.8/g) and ranks among the top-10 in the Liberty League in field goal percentage (4th), blocked shots (4th), rebounds per game (6th, 7.3), and scoring (9th, 13.0).

At Hartwick, Feane scored a game-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including 6-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc, while pulling down five boards, handing out three assists, and recording four steals. At Union, he scored 11 points and grabbed five boards. At Skidmore, Feane scored 17 points, including a 3-of-3 performance from long range. For the week, he shot 51.3 percent from the floor, 58.8 percent from downtown, while committing just three turnovers in 93 minutes on the court.

For the season, Feane leads the team in scoring (16.6 ppg), three-point field goal percentage (.521), three-point field goals made per game (2.18), free throw percentage (.803), and steals (2.3/g). He leads the conference in steals and three-point field goal percentage and ranks fourth in the league in scoring, three-point field goals made, and free throw percentage.

With five games remaining in the regular season, Hobart sports an 11-8 overall record, including a 6-3 mark in the Liberty loop. The Statesmen, who sit one half game out of first place, return to action at 8 p.m., on Feb. 11, when they host the Clarkson University Golden Knights in Bristol Gym.
