GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart first-year guard Tim Ivory (Episcopal Academy/Narbert, Pa.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week today. He averaged 8.0 ppg in a 1-1 week for the Statesmen. In a 76-69 win over Cazenovia, Ivory was 4 of 8 from the floor, including 2 for 2 from long range, and hit 3 of 4 from the line for 13 points. Ivory also handed out three assists against the Wildcats. In a 69-58 loss at Ithaca on Saturday, he was limited to just 13 minutes of play and had three points. For the season, Ivory is averaging 8.3 points and 1.8 assists per game. One of the best young shooters in the League, he is sixth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.500, 7-14) and eighth in three-point field goals made (1.75/gm). Ivory is shooting .407 from the floor and .800 from the free throw line. Hobart is back in action on Dec. 5, when the Statesmen take on Rochester (5-1).
