GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior John Grazioli (St. Anthony’s/Melville, N.Y.) completed the 2006-07 basketball season in style. The forward, who was named the Liberty League Forward of the Week and RACA Male Athlete of the Week earlier this week, received two more weekly awards today. He was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and garnered the ECAC Upstate Player of the Week award.

Grazioli averaged 25.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks during a 3-0 week for the Statesmen. He was 11 of 14 from the floor, including a pair of threes, on his way to a career-high 28 points in Hobart’s 87-86 win at Hamilton. Three nights later, Grazioli scored 18 points and grabbed seven boards in a 69-62 win over Rensselaer. He closed out the season with another career-high effort, scoring 30 points to go with 11 rebounds as the Statesmen topped Vassar 85-78.

Grazioli finished the regular season as the Liberty League leader in scoring, producing 17.6 ppg. He ranked fifth in the League in blocked shots (36, 1.44/g). The best free throw shooting big man in the conference, the 6-foot-7 Grazioli knocked down 77 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe. He also ranked among the Liberty League leaders in field goal percentage (.498, 10th) and rebounding (5.7, 11th).

Hobart won four straight to end the season and five of its final six contests to finish with a 7-7 record in the conference and an 11-14 overall mark.
