Grazioli, Manning get All-Liberty League nods

GENEVA, N.Y.—Two Hobart College basketball players earned a spot on the 2006-07 All-Liberty League teams that were announced today. In a vote of the League’s coaches, junior forward John Grazioli (St. Anthony’s/Melville, N.Y.) was named to the first team, while senior guard Mike Manning (Center Moriches/Mastic, N.Y.) received honorable mention.
A second-team selection a year ago, Grazioli leads the Liberty League in scoring (17.6 ppg) this season and ranks fifth in blocked shots (36, 1.4/g), fifth in free throw percentage (.770), 10th in field goal percentage (.498), and 11th in rebounding (5.7 rpg). He reached double digits in points 23 times this season, scoring 20 or more points seven times. Grazioli produced a career-high 30 points in the season-ending win over Vassar. He pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds at Union. Grazioli was named the Liberty League Forward of the Week twice and earned a spot on the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week once.
Manning became the 20th Hobart player to score 1,000 career points, finishing 13th with 1,112. This season, he ranked among the conference leaders in steals (2nd, 1.9 spg), assists (6th, 2.5 apg), points (8th, 13.3 ppg), rebounds (8th, 5.8 rpg), field goal percentage (11th, .488), and free throw percentage (11th, .664). Manning reached double figures in the scoring column 20 times this season, scoring a career-high 29 points to lead Hobart to an 87-86 overtime victory at Hamilton. He was named the Liberty League Guard of the Week three times.
Hobart won four straight games to end the season and five of its final six contests to finish with a 7-7 record in the conference and an 11-14 overall mark.
