Paddick, Genovese named All-Academic
January 25, 2007
GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior guard Duncan Paddick (Chenango Valley/Binghamton, N.Y.) and junior forward Rob Genovese (Deerfield Academy/Geneva, N.Y.) were recently named to the 2006-07 Liberty League Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team. To earn a spot on the squad, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be at least a sophomore academically.
An economics and international relations double major, Genovese is a three-year member of the Statesmen basketball team. This season, he is averaging 20 minutes per game, ranks fifth on the team in scoring (5.5 ppg), and fourth on the team in rebounding (3.3 rpg). Paddick is also a double major, studying public policy and political science. A hard-working and scrappy defender, Paddick averages 13 minutes, 2.3 points, and 1.4 rebounds per game.
Hobart will return to the court this weekend, when it travels to Vassar on Jan. 26 and Rensselaer on Jan. 27 for two Liberty League contests.
