January 23, 2002

GENEVA, N.Y. -The Eastern College Athletic Conference has named Hobart College basketball player Tim Lomot (Amityville/Amityville, N.Y.) to the ECAC Upstate Division III Weekly Honor Roll. The junior averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.0 steals in a weekend split for the Statesmen.

Lomot scored 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc in Hobart's 86-57 win at Skidmore on Jan. 18. Against Union the following afternoon, the guard totaled a career-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. In the two games he shot 73 percent from the floor, 80 percent from three-point range, and 75 percent from the free throw line. This season, Lomot is the Statesmen's fifth-leading scorer at 7.9 ppg and second on the team in assists with 56.

Hobart (7-9, 2-3 UCAA) returns to action on Jan. 25, when St. Lawrence comes to Geneva for an 8 p.m., tipoff. The Statesmen split the season series with the Saints last year.
