GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart basketball team dismantled visiting Hartwick 96-45 this evening in Bristol Gymnasium. The Statesmen needed just four minutes to build a double digit lead, sending the Hawks to their 18th consecutive defeat.

Hobart (9-14) opened the contest with a 15-2 run capped by back-to-back three-pointers by sophomore guard Colby Feane (Weedsport/Weedsport, N.Y.). He finished the night with 11 points, one of five Statesmen in double digits.

Playing its final regular season home game, the Statesmen put on a show, producing season-highs in points and three-point field goals made (10) and matching season-highs in 3-point field goal percentage (.500) and rebounds (49). On the flip side, Hartwick (1-20) produced season-lows for a Hobart opponent in points, field goals made (19), field goal percentage (.279), and rebounds (28).

First-year guard Mike Manning (Center Moriches/Mastic, N.Y.) produced a career-high matching 21 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including a three-pointer, and a perfect 10-of-10 from the line. He also collected a game-high eight rebounds and a career-high six steals.

Sophomore center Tim Apuzzo (Greely/Cumberland, Maine) contributed 11 points and five boards, while first-year forward Billy Clarke (St. Mary’s/Manhasset, N.Y.) added 10 points, including three trifectas.

With all 14 of Hobart’s players in uniform scoring, junior forward Woody Kampmann (Blair Academy/Blairstown, N.J.) kept the crowd in the game in the waning minutes. Making just his seventh appearance of the season, he connected on all three of his shots from the floor and 3-of-4 from the line for a career-high 10 points in just 11 minutes. Kampmann also pulled down a career-high five rebounds, all on the offensive glass, handed out two assists, and made a steal.

For Hartwick, junior forward Mike Wawrzonek (South Side/Rockville Centre, N.Y.) scored a team-high 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting.

The Statesmen are back in action at 8 p.m., on Feb. 20, at Clarkson. Hobart closes out the season the following afternoon at St. Lawrence. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
