In the grand finals, the Statesmen closed the gap on the Red Foxes by nearly five seconds, earning a third place showing with a time of 6:41.3. The second varsity eight powered past Massachusetts, Delaware, and LaSalle.

Fueled by Mike Talarico, Andrew O’Donnell, Jake Podkaminer, Chris Moore, John Heavey, Ben Ramsey, Aaron Matyac, Matt Gruppo, and Dan Allen the novice eight earned Hobart’s third spot in the grand finals by capturing Saturday’s first heat, besting their closest competitor, Boston College, by nearly five seconds. Hobart returns to action on April 15, hosting Colgate and RIT on the Seneca-Cayuga Canal.
