HWS crew in action at home on Saturday

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart and William Smith Colleges crew teams will host Dowling College and Grand Valley State University tomorrow, April 7. The regatta is set to begin at 11 a.m.
The Herons will take on both Dowling and GVSU, while the Statesmen will meet only GVSU. Racing will begin with the women’s second varsity eight, followed by the women’s varsity eight and the men’s varsity eight.
Both teams are coming off exciting wins over rival Ithaca last weekend. William Smith was victorious with a time of 7:21.6, while the Statesmen won with a time of 6:39.5, more than eight seconds ahead of the Bombers. Both varsity eight squads earned Liberty League Boat of the Week awards for their efforts.
