CANTON, N.Y.—Hobart senior Scott Thoms (Brooks School/West Chatham, Mass.) placed 53rd in the 219-runner field at the Ronald C. Hoffman Atlantic Pre-Regional hosted by St. Lawrence University. As a team, the Statesmen finished 17th out of 19 teams.

Thoms covered the 8-kilometer course in 27:58. Sophomore Michael Guglielmo (Northern Highlands/Allendale, N.J.) was the second Statesman across the finish line, placing 163rd in 30:54.

Hobart returns to action on Oct. 2, in the Liberty League Championships at Vassar College.
