Scott Thoms

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior Scott Thoms (Brooks School/West Chatham, Mass.) was recently named to the All-Liberty League second-team after taking 10th place in the Liberty League Championship meet. The top seven runners across the line earned first-team honors, while the next seven grabbed second-team accolades.

Thoms had a strong final season for Hobart, leading the Statesmen in all but one race. Dropping valuable seconds off his time nearly ever week, he earned a runner-up finish at the Hobart Invitational and finished ninth of 107 runners at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational. Thoms also turned in his career-best time of 26:57 at Roberts Wesleyan. At the ECAC Championships, he dropped over two minutes from his time in 2002—he did not compete in 2003—to take 22nd of 243 participants.
