Flanagan earns spot on All-Liberty League Team

CLINTON, N.Y.—First-year Ben Flanagan (Masconomet/Boxford, Mass.) led the Hobart cross country team to a fifth-place team finish at the Liberty League Championships today, held at Hamilton College. Flanagan placed 11th overall, earning a spot on the 14-man All-Liberty League Team. He completed the 8-kilometer race in a time of 27:46. Seven teams and 85 runners competed.

Classmates Andrew Ockenden (Conestoga/Paoli, Pa.) and Tom Harty (Portsmouth Abbey School (R.I.)/Norfolk, Mass.) finished 50th and 55th, respectively, while senior Mike Guglielmo (Northern Highlands/Allendale, N.J.) took 59th place.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Oct. 14 at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational, starting at noon.
