GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College first-year Ben Flanagan (Masconomet/Boxford, Mass.) finished 36th out of 281 runners in the ECAC Cross Country Championships held at Williams College last Saturday. Flanagan completed the 8-kilometer course in time of 27:27 to lead the Statesmen to a 24th place team finish out of 40 teams.

First-years Andrew Ockenden (Conestoga/Paoli, Pa.) and Tom Harty (Portsmouth Abbey School/Norfolk, Mass.) were the next Statesmen to cross the line, finishing 114th and 119th, respectively. Ockenden recorded a personal-best time of 28:58, surpassing his previous-best (29:02) by four seconds. Senior Mike Guglielmo (Northern Highlands/Allendale, N.J.) rounded out the top-four for Hobart, coming in 166th.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Nov. 11, when they travel to Geneseo for the NCAA Regional Championships.
