September 30, 2002 GENEVA, N.Y.Sophomore Drew Mosher (Harrisville/Harrisville, N.Y.) led the way for the Hobart College cross country team this past weekend at the Fredonia State Invitational with an 8k time of 31:01, for a 45th place finish of 69 runners. With only four runners competing, the Statesmen did not have enough runners to compete in the final team standings of the invitational. Finishing five spots behind Mosher was junior Robert Portik-Middleton (Singapore American School/Vero Beach, Fla.), completing the course in 31:49. First-years Gauthier Giacommi (Commack/Commack, N.Y.) and Sean Pelnick (Sachem/Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) rounded out Hobarts runners, crossing the line in 31:57 and 35:21, respectively.
