GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart running back Jack Holleran (Choate Rosemary Hall/Sharon, Mass.) was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week today. The senior led the Statesmen to a 21-10 victory at St. Lawrence on Oct. 23.
Against the No. 2 rushing defense in the Liberty League, Holleran carried 27 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns. His 54-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, the longest allowed by the Saints this season, gave the Statesmen a 13-10 lead. Holleran iced the contest with a 3-yard plunge late in the fourth quarter. His 169-yard day is the most allowed by the St. Lawrence defense to an individual runner this season. Holleran, who was not stopped behind the line of scrimmage on any of his carries, averaged 6.3 yards per carry against the Saints.
Hobart is 6-1 overall, 5-0 in the Liberty League. The Statesmen, who are idle this week, hold a half game lead over second place Union (4-2, 4-0). Hobart returns home for its final two regular season games. The Statesmen will host the Dutchmen at 1 p.m., on Nov. 6. The following Saturday, the Rochester Yellowjackets will visit Boswell Field for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
