GENEVA, N.Y.–The Hobart College football team moved up one spot to No. 3 in the Upstate New York Division III weekly poll. In a bye week, the Statesmen climbed ahead of SUNY-Brockport after 35-14 loss by the Golden Eagles to Montclair State.

Hobart shares the top five with No. 1 Union, No. 2 Ithaca, No. 4 Brockport and No. 5 Hartwick. The Statesmen will host Union College in their home opener on Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. The Dutchmen had no trouble with Worcester Polytechnic Institute last Saturday, pounding the Engineers by a 51-17 count. Hobart edged Union 13-12 in Schenectady last season.
