Oct 17 2001 GENEVA, N.Y.--The Eastern College Athletic Conference has recognized two Hobart College Football players for their play in the Statesmen's 44-0 win over Franklin & Marshall College on Oct. 13. Junior linebacker Tim Booth (Waterloo/Waterloo, N.Y.) and first-year running back Ty Godinho (Lancaster/Lancaster, N.Y.) were named to the ECAC Northwest Honor Roll for the week ending Oct. 14. Godinho is making his third straight appearance on the honor roll. Booth made a team-high seven tackles against the Diplomats, including five for loss of 25 yards. He also sacked F&M's quarterback twice, once in the end zone for a safety. The linebacker is third on the team in tackles with 25 and has sacked opposing quarterbacks three times. Booth leads the team in tackles for a loss, with eight for 43 yards. Godinho ran the ball 25 times for 103 yards and a touchdown in Hobart's win over the Diplomats. His performance was his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game. Godinho leads the Statesmen in rushing and is second in the UCAA with 488 yards on 93 carries. The first-year has also caught five passes for 43 yards and scored three touchdowns. Hobart (4-1, 2-1 UCAA) will travel to Alfred University Oct. 20, to face the Saxons at 1:30 p.m. Last season, the Statesmen topped Alfred, 20-14, in Geneva. Hobart has won the last five meetings. |
