ELMIRA, N.Y.--The Hobart golf team finished tied for fifth in the Elmira College Golf Invitational at the par-72 Elmira Country Club. Junior Drew Slocum (University School/Milwaukee, Wis.) paced the Statesmen with an 81, four strokes off the individual leader.

Hobart fought the seven-team field and a rain-soaked course to post a team score of 337, 20 behind the tournament-winning team from Rensselaer.

The Statesmen are scheduled to return to action on Sept. 19, at the Pine Acres Country Club for the Pitt-Bradford Invitational.

Hobart hits the links again on April 18-19, at the Palamountain Invitational in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
