          Gonzalez leads Statesmen to Hobart Invitational win

      GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College sophomore Mike Gonzalez   (Harley-Allendale-Columbia/Webster, N.Y.) and senior Matt Cote (Trinity   Pawling School/Montreal, Quebec) both shot a low-score of 78 to garner top   honors at the Hobart Invitational this past weekend at the Clifton Springs   Country Club. The Hobart Orange finished atop the team standings with a score of   320, two strokes better than runner-up Roberts Wesleyan. 
         
        Junior Drew   Slocum (University School/Milwaukee, Wis.) was next in the clubhouse for the   Statesmen with an eight-over 79. Roberts Wesleyan sophomore Tyler Barber   (Lombardy, Ontario) and junior Jason Lockwood (Hornell, N.Y.) also carded rounds   of 79 to tie for third place. 
         
        Junior Bennett Baritell (Tully/Tully,   N.Y.) also finished in the top-10 for Hobart, tying for sixth with a season   low round of 80. 
         
        Cote led the Hobart Purple team to fifth place in the   seven-team field.  
         
        Hobart hits the links again on Oct. 9-10, at the Bon   Appetit Fall Shootout, teeing off at noon and 9 a.m., respectively.
