GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College sophomore Mike Gonzalez (Harley-Allendale-Columbia/Webster, N.Y.) and senior Matt Cote (Trinity Pawling School/Montreal, Quebec) both shot a low-score of 78 to garner top honors at the Hobart Invitational this past weekend at the Clifton Springs Country Club. The Hobart Orange finished atop the team standings with a score of 320, two strokes better than runner-up Roberts Wesleyan.

Junior Drew Slocum (University School/Milwaukee, Wis.) was next in the clubhouse for the Statesmen with an eight-over 79. Roberts Wesleyan sophomore Tyler Barber (Lombardy, Ontario) and junior Jason Lockwood (Hornell, N.Y.) also carded rounds of 79 to tie for third place.

Junior Bennett Baritell (Tully/Tully, N.Y.) also finished in the top-10 for Hobart, tying for sixth with a season low round of 80.

Cote led the Hobart Purple team to fifth place in the seven-team field.

Hobart hits the links again on Oct. 9-10, at the Bon Appetit Fall Shootout, teeing off at noon and 9 a.m., respectively.
