OSWEGO, N.Y.—The Hobart golf team finished eighth in the 12-team Oswego State Inivitational. Junior Drew Slocum (University School/Milwaukee, Wis.) and sophomore Mike Gonzalez (HAC/Webster, N.Y.) led the Statesmen with matching 78s.

Played at the par 71 Oswego Country Club, Slocum and Gonzalez were five strokes off the winner, Le Moyne’s Dan McCarthy. As a team, Hobart carded a score of 328, besting the squads from Potsdam, Elmira, SUNY IT and Cazenovia. Harwick was the overall winner with a score of 306.

The Statesmen return to action on Sept. 23, when they travel to Saratoga Springs for the Liberty League Championship.
