          Statesmen compete in Palamountain Invitational

      SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--The Hobart golf team finished tied for 11th out   of 17 teams in the 19th annual Joseph C. Palamountain Inivitational hosted by   Skidmore College. The Thoroughbreds won the two-day event with a low score of   608, while the Statesmen carded a 668 which was matched by   Amherst. 
         
        Hobart was led by junior Drew Slocum (University   School/Milwaukee, Wis.), who tied for 27th place with a 163 (81-82). Senior Matt Coté (Trinity Pawling School/Montreal, Quebec) was just a stroke   behind, tying for 32nd place. He also sported Hobart's low round, carding a 79   on Sunday. 
         
        Sophomore Mike Gonzalez (Harley-Allendale-Columbia/Webster,   N.Y.) was the third Statesman in the clubhouse with a score of 167   (84-83). 
         
        Sunday's round was played on the par 72 Saratoga Spa State Park   Course, while the action moved to the par 72 McGregor Links Country Club on   Monday. 
         
        Hobart closes out its spring schedule at 10 a.m. on April 29, in   the Elmira Invitational.
