SUSQUEHANNA, Pa.—The Hobart golf team opened its spring season with a fourth place finish in the 15-team Susquehanna Invitational at the par 70 Susquehanna Valley Country Club. Senior Drew Slocum (University School/Milwaukee, Wis.) was the top Statesmen finisher, placing fourth out of 79 golfers.

Hobart posted a team score of 320, 10 strokes off the host Crusaders who won the team title. St. Peter's (316) was second followed by the club team from Penn State (319). Keystone College (326) rounded out the top five.

Slocum returned to the clubhouse with a 77, one stroke off the lead. First-year Brian Kilduff (Morristown-Beard School/Summit, N.J.) also earned a spot in the top 10, tying for sixth place with a 78.

The Statesmen are back in action on April 9, when they will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Invitational at the HERSHEYPARK Golf Course.
