GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College first-year Dan Miller (Massena/Massena, N.Y.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week today.

Miller was the third Statesman in the clubhouse in the McDaniel Nike Invitational at the par 72 The Links at Gettysburg over the weekend. He carded rounds of 85 and 80 to tie for 35th place in the 60-golfer field.

The lone first-year on the team, Miller is second with a 79.8 scoring average. In seven events this season, he has placed in the top 20 four times, including a third-place finish in the Pitt-Bradford Invitation on Sept. 16.

The Hobart golf team is back in action on April 8-9, when the Statesmen play in the Mid-Atlantic Invitational in Hershey, Pa.
