GETTYSBURG, Pa.—The Hobart golf team opened its spring season in the McDaniel Nike Invitational this weekend. After two rounds at the par 72 The Links at Gettysburg, the Statesmen placed eighth out of 12 teams.

Senior Mike Gonzalez (HAC/Webster, N.Y.) led Hobart, finishing 26th in the 60-player field. He rebounded from an opening round 86 to shoot a two-over 74. Sophomore Brian Kilduff (Morristown-Beard School/Summit, N.J.) was the second Hobart player in the clubhouse, finishing 32nd with rounds of 83 and 79.

The Statesmen are back on the links on April 8-9, when they participate in the Mid-Atlantic Invitational in Hershey, Pa.
