CANTON, N.Y.—The Hobart golf team shot a combined score of 653 to finish eighth out of 11 teams at the St. Lawrence Invitational. Leading the charge was sophomore Drew Slocum (University School of Milwaukee/Milwaukee, Wis.), finishing sixth out of 55 players carding a two-day score of 152. His low round four-over 75 on the second day of play was the best score by a Statesman during the weekend.

Hobart sophomores Ryan Malet (Walter Johnson High School/Rockville, Md.) and Ryan Wilson (Brooks School/Topsfield, Mass.) rounded out the top three finishers for the Statesmen in a tie for 38th with a 166.

The Statesmen will be in action again on Sept. 9, at the Skidmore Invitational at McGregor Links Country Club.
