GENEVA, N.Y.—Riding a four-game winning streak, the fifth-ranked Hobart College hockey team will host ECAC West rival Elmira College on Senior Day at 4 p.m. on Feb. 18 at The Cooler. Tickets are $3 for general admission and $1 for children under the age of 12. Hobart and William Smith students, faculty, and staff are admitted free with a valid Colleges ID.

Thanks to a weekend sweep of Utica, Hobart (17-5-0, 8-4-0 ECAC West) moved into sole possession of second place in the conference standings. Hobart also closed to within one point of conference leader Manhattanville thanks to the Valiants’ weekend split with the Soaring Eagles (12-8-2, 5-6-1). Elmira is one point out of the fourth and final place in the conference’s postseason tournament.

Since the beginning of the 2003-04 season, Hobart is 6-2-0 against Elmira, including a 4-0-0 mark at The Cooler. Over the past three campaigns, the Statesmen are 26-6-3 (.786) on their home ice, including a 9-1-0 mark this season.

Two of the premier goalies in the nation will be on display, Hobart first-year Keith Longo (Hopedale, Mass.) and Elmira senior Greg Fargo (Kingston, Ontario).

Longo is second in the nation in save percentage (.942) and fifth in goals against average (1.68). The three-time ECAC West Rookie of the Week already has broken the Hobart season and career records for shutouts with three this year.

Patrolling the opposite end of the ice, Fargo is 6-2-1 since the start of the calendar year. He is second in the ECAC West and 10th in the nation in save percentage (.922) and third in the conference in goals against average (2.18).

Fans unable to make the trip to Geneva can hear all of the live action on WEOS-Radio (89.7/90.3 in Geneva, 88.1 in Ithaca). Streaming audio can be accessed via the Hobart home page.
