Hobart downs Trinity, advances to finals

MIDDLEBURY, Vt.-The 10th-ranked Hobart ice hockey team advanced to the final round of the Middlebury College Holiday Classic with a 5-2 win over Trinity (Conn.) this afternoon. The Statesmen improve to 7-2-2 overall, while Trinity drops to 2-4-1.

Junior Brian Cibelli (Liverpool, N.Y.) led the Statesmen with two goals and an assist, while seniors Mike Manos (North Andover, Mass.) and Conor Bradley (West Hartford, Conn.) each added a goal and an assist. Cibelli recorded both his tallies on power plays, and the game-winning goal.

Sophomore goaltender Keith Longo (Hopedale, Mass.) stopped 28 shots for Hobart, picking up his fourth win of the year.

Hobart will meet the winner of today's Middlebury/St. Anselm game tomorrow at 4 p.m.
