Hobart hockey ties Neumann

ASTON, Pa.—The 10th-ranked Hobart College ice hockey team tied eighth-ranked Neumann College 3-3 in an overtime ECAC West match-up on Friday night. The Statesmen now have a 4-2-2 overall record and a 1-2-1 league mark, while Neumann holds a 7-3-1 record and is unbeaten in league play at 2-0-4.
Junior Ted Brzek (Duxbury, Mass.) netted two goals, including the game-tying score with less than four minutes to play in regulation. Senior Jonathan Swift (Andover, Mass.) had a hand in both goals. Sophomore Ryan Adler (Piscataway, N.J.) also assisted on Brzek’s first goal, while classmate Andrew Brennan (Milford, Mass.) tallied a helper on his second.
Junior Shawn Houde (Manchester, N.H.) scored Hobart’s first goal on a power play at 13:40 in the first period, assisted by seniors Mike Polsonetti (Lynn, Mass.) and Mike Manos (North Andover, Mass.).
Sophomore goalkeeper Keith Longo (Hopedale, Mass.) made 31 stops for the Statesmen.
Hobart will be in action again on Dec. 2 when they travel to Lebanon Valley for a league game at 3 p.m.
