GENEVA, N.Y.—Sophomore Statesman Keith Longo (Hopedale, Mass.) was named the Rochester Area College Athletics Tri-Male Athlete of the Week for his play in two games last week. He helped lead the Hobart College hockey team past Wentworth, and to a tie with fourth-ranked Oswego.
A goalkeeper, Longo tallied 55 saves on 57 shots (.965 save percentage) in 97 minutes of play. He entered Friday’s game against Wentworth with the Statesmen trailing 3-2, and didn’t allow goal as Hobart went on to win 6-3. Against Oswego, he recorded 42 stops as the Statesmen held the Lakers to a 2-2 draw. Oswego scored both of its goals on power plays.
Hobart, ranked 11th in the nation, will be in action tonight when it hosts Williams for a non-conference game at 7 p.m. at The Cooler.
