November 13, 2001 GENEVA, N.Y.Three Hobart College hockey players were recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for their play during a 1-1 week for the Statesmen. Sophomore wing R.C. Schmidt (Army/Buxton, Maine) was named the ECAC West Player of the Week, first-year center Craig Levey (Mississauga Chargers/Mississauga, Ontario) was named the Rookie of the Week, and first-year goalie Adam Levelle (Bridgton Academy/Chelmsford, Mass.) earned a spot on the league's Honor roll. Schmidt scored a power-play goal and recorded three assists as Hobart split its two games last week. The sophomore transfer scored a goal and an assist in the Statesmen's 3-2 win over SUNY Brockport and added two more assists in Hobart's 8-5 loss to Elmira. Schmidt is currently tied for the team lead in points with nine (3-6-9). Eight of his nine points have come on the power play, second best among ECAC West players. Levey scored the game-winning goal against the Golden Eagles and netted a power-play goal and an assist against the Soaring Eagles. The center is tied with Schmidt for the team lead in scoring with five goals and four assists for nine points. Levey is tied for the lead in overall scoring among ECAC West rookies. Lavelle stopped 76 of the 85 shots he faced last week. The goaltender made 33 saves in the win over Brockport and 43 in the loss to Elmira. Lavelle has started every game for Hobart this season, posting a 3-3 record, a 4.67 goals against average, and a save percentage of .883. The Statesmen (3-3-0, 1-1-0) continue their home stand against SUNY-Fredonia
on Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. Last season, Hobart tied the Blue Devils, 1-1,
