February 3, 2004 Making his third consecutive start, Kelliher stopped all 25 of Buffalo States shots to become the first goalie in Hobart hockey history to earn consecutive shutouts. He grabbed 18 saves three days earlier, holding Brockport State scoreless in a 5-0 victory. After three games in which he sacrificed just two goals, Kelliher stretched his shutout streak to 143:45 before allowing a power-play goal to ninth-ranked RIT at the 17:44 mark of the first period. In his four starts, Kelliher sports a 3-1-0 record with a .949 save percentage and 1.20 goals against average, while his two shutouts ranks fifth among all Division III goalies. The Statesmen continue play this weekend with two key ECAC West contests. Hobart will host Elmira on Feb. 6, at 7 p.m., and Utica the following afternoon at 4 p.m., at the Geneva Recreation Complex. |
