December 17, 2003 GENEVA, N.Y.Hobart College junior forward Craig Levey (Missassauga, Ontario) was named the ECAC West Hockey Player of the Week. This is the first time he has garnered the weekly honor this season. Levey played a part in each of the Statesmens three second period goals, as Hobart battled Potsdam State to a 6-6 draw. Down 3-1 at the first intermission, the junior captain tallied a power-play goal and a pair of assists to put the Statesmen up by one heading into the final stanza. After posting just a goal and an assist in the first three games, Levey caught fire and has scored 10 goals and added six assists in the past seven games for a 2.29 points per game average. His 11 goals is a league best, while his 1.10 goals per game average ranks 10th in the nation. Hobart sports a 4-3-3 overall record and returns the ice again on Jan. 3, traveling to the Middlebury Tournament to play Trinity College. The puck is scheduled to drop at 5 p.m. |
