R.C. Schmidt

GENEVA, N.Y.–Hobart College hockey player R.C. Schmidt (Army/Buxton, Maine) was recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for his play during a 1-1 week for the Statesmen. The right wing was named to the ECAC West honor roll for the week ending Nov. 4.

Schmidt scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Hobart's 4-3 come-from-behind win over Utica College on Nov. 3. The sophomore transfer from Army is tied for the team lead in scoring with three goals and four assists for seven points. All three of Schmidt's goals have come on the power play this season.

The Statesmen (3-2, 1-0) open their home schedule on Nov. 10, when they host league rival Elmira College (2-1, 1-0) at 7 p.m. The Soaring Eagles swept the season series last year.
