Hill named to ECAC Weekly honor roll
April 4, 2005
GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart senior attackman Nate Hill (Hamburg/Hamburg, N.Y.) was named to the ECAC Lacrosse League Weekly Honor Roll by the conference office this afternoon. He scored eight points in two games for the Statesmen last week.
In a heart-breaking 13-12 loss to Syracuse, he scored three goals and assisted on a fourth. Hill’s final goal of the night against the Orange, tied the contest 12-12 with 6:49 remaining. Four days later, he repeated his three-goal, one-assist effort in an 11-8 loss to the Fairfield Stags.
Hill leads the Statesmen in goals (14), assists (14), and points (14), and is five points shy of becoming Hobart’s Division I scoring leader. Jamie Breslin ’01 is the current leader with 138 career points (92-46).
The two losses dropped Hobart (5-3) three spots in the USILA Geico/STX Coaches Poll, to No. 15. The Statesmen fell four spots in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll to No. 14.
Hobart returns to action at 1 p.m., on April 9, when the Statesmen travel to University Park, Pa., for an ECAC Lacrosse League contest against Penn State.
