Kerwick to speak at coaches clinic

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College Lacrosse Head Coach Matt Kerwick ’90 will speak at the 2007 Minnesota Boys Scholastic Lacrosse Association Coaches Clinic on Jan. 27. The clinic will be held at The Blake Middle School in Hopkins, Minn.
Kerwick will speak on the topics of “Team Building, Practice Planning, and Drills,” “The Transition Game or Clearing and Riding,” “Shooting Drills,” and “Inbound Attack Plays/Three-Man Midfield Plays.”
The 2002 Patriot League Coach of the Year, Kerwick served as an assistant coach to the US National Team in 2006, helping the team win the silver medal in the International Lacrosse Federation World Championship. A two-time Super Six Lacrosse League Coach of the Year and the 1997 “Babe” Kraus Division III Coach of the Year, he recently spoke at the 2007 US Lacrosse National Convention in Philadelphia, Pa., where he presented on the topic “Developing the Shooter.”
Preseason is underway for the 2007 Statesmen, who will play their first game on Feb. 18 at Syracuse at 1 p.m.
