Hobart to be well represented as DIII lacrosse celebrates 25 years

GENEVA, N.Y.—When the NCAA celebrates the 25th year of the Division III men’s lacrosse championship on May 30, Hobart College will be well represented. At halftime of the 2004 championship game at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium, the NCAA will honor the most outstanding players from the previous 24 tournaments, including 12 Statesmen.

Hobart won the first 12 Division III championships between 1980 and 1991, and captured a 13th title in 1993, before elevating the program to Division I in 1995. The Statesmen have made 25 NCAA Tournament appearance since 1974 (4 Division I; 6 Division II, including two titles; and 15 Division III).
