Borsz named PL Defensive POTW

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior goalie Mike Borsz (West Genesee/Camillus, N.Y.) was named the Patriot League’s Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending May 4. He made a season-high 19 saves in the Statesmen’s season finale at Cornell on May 2.

Borsz ends his impressive career with his first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and third in the past two years. He recorded 19 saves (.576 save pct.) against the ninth-ranked Big Red, raising his career total to 473 stops, which ranks fourth in school history. Borsz posted a 10.18 goals against average with a .567 save percentage this season.

Hobart completed its 101st season, its ninth in Division I, with a 5-8 record, including a 4-2 mark in the Patriot League. The Statesmen finished in third place on the league circuit.
