April 26, 2004 McCarthy limited Armys leading scorer, John Walker, to just two assists on Saturday. A Tewaaraton Award candidate, Walker entered the game averaging 4.17 points and 2.67 goals per game and had scored at least one goal in 25 consecutive games but was kept off the scoreboard by McCarthy. The junior also picked up five ground balls. The victory propelled Hobart (7-5, 6-1 PL) into the national rankings for the first time this season. The Statesmen debuted at No. 19 in both the Geico/STX USILA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. The win also secured the second seed in the upcoming Patriot The winners will advance to the Patriot League title tilt at 2 p.m. on May 2. On Friday, tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children under 18, and free for students from participating institutions with proper ID. The price of admission includes both semifinal games. On Sunday, tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children under 18, and free for students from participating institutions with proper ID. Parking for all three games is free. |
