March 24, 2003 GENEVA, N.Y.This afternoon, the Patriot League named Hobart College attackman John Bogosian (Kent School/Massena, N.Y.) its Mens Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. The senior tri-captain helped the Statesmen improve to 3-0 in conference play with a five-point performance against Lehigh on Saturday. Bogosian had a hand in more than half of Hobarts goals in a 9-4 win over the Mountain Hawks. The teams leading scorer netted four goals and assisted on another, while collecting six ground balls. Bogosian leads the league in scoring average (4.2 ppg), and has recorded at least two points in every game this season. With 16 goals and five assists through five games, Bogosian boasts 110 career points (71-39), one of four Statesmen to notch 100 points while playing exclusively at the Division I level. Hobart (4-1) returns to action at 7 p.m., on March 25, when fifth-ranked Syracuse visits the Colleges AstroTurf Stadium. |
