March 26, 2002 GENEVA, N.Y. Hobart College senior lacrosse player Dave Spratlen (Colorado Academy/Littleton, Colo.) earned the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award for his strong showing in the Statesmens 14-9 win over Lehigh University. The win was Hobarts second in a row, moving them over the .500 mark for the first time this season, and keeping them in the hunt for a league title. Spratlen scored a career-high four goals, including two extra-man tallies, against the Mountain Hawks on March 23. The senior midfielder is sixth on the team in scoring this season with five goals in five games, with all his points coming against league foes. Spratlens other goal came against Lafayette College on March 16. The Statesmen (3-2, 2-1PL) return to action on March 27, when they travel
to the Carrier Dome to take on top-ranked Syracuse University at 7:30
p.m. Wednesday marks the 88th time the two teams have faced each other.
