GENEVA, N.Y.—After 110 minutes of action, the Hobart and Nazareth soccer teams played to a 3-3 draw this afternoon on McCooey Field.

The Statesmen (5-7-2) opened the scoring in the second minute as first-year defender Jesse Pereira (Avon Old Farms/Ludlow, Mass.) scored his first collegiate goal during a scramble inside the 18-yard box. Classmate Phillip Schoeniger (Lexington/Lexington, Mass.) created the scoring opportunity by lofting a corner kick into the box.

The Golden Flyers (5-6-3) netted the equalizer in the 21st minute as sophomore forward Paul Pacitto (Wayne Central/Ontario, N.Y.) ripped his first of two goals into the lower left corner from 20-yards out.

Senior forward Micke Subotowicz (Farsta Gymnasium/Stockholm, Sweden) drilled his seventh goal of the season into the lower left corner of the cage from the top, right corner of the box in the 54th minute, staking Hobart to a 2-1 advantage. First-year defensemen Devin Wilder (Loomis Chaffee School/Storrs, Conn.) registered the assist.

Pacitto evened the match at 2-2 in the 66th minute. Statesmen first-year goalkeeper Pete Van Dellon (Webster Thomas/Webster, N.Y.) could not handle a pass back from a teammate, and Pacitto pounced on the loose ball, tapping it into the vacant net.

Nazareth took its first lead of the game in the 80th minute as junior Scott Cavanaugh (Holley/Brockport, N.Y.) headed in a corner kick from classmate Andrew Wirfel (South Glens Falls/Gansevoort, N.Y.).

Junior Tucker Crockett (Episcopal Academy/Rosemont, Pa.) netted the equalizer less than two minutes later. Senior forward Chris Rogers (Hebron Academy/Marietta, Ga.) sent in a crossing pass from along the right flank and Crockett one-timed it into the back of the net.

Both overtime sessions were evenly played with no quality scoring chances. Hobart outshot the Golden Flyers 3-1 in overtime and 18-12 on the afternoon.

Van Dellon turned away one Golden Flyers offering, while junior netminder Alex Kilroy (Spencerport/Spencerport, N.Y.) made seven saves to preserve the tie.

Hobart will return to conference action on Oct. 21 as they host Vassar College at 4 p.m.
