GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior striker Micke Subotowicz (Farsta Gymnasium/Stockholm, Sweden) was named the Rochester Area College Athletics Co-Male Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week ending Oct. 23.
Subotowicz had a hand in all four Statesmen tallies as Hobart defeated Liberty League foes Vassar and Rensselaer. On Oct. 21, he netted the game-winner in the 57th minute and assisted on an insurance goal to lift the Statesmen to a 2-0 victory over the Brewers. The following afternoon, Subotowicz registered a pair of assists as Hobart scored two-second half goals to edge the Red Hawks, 2-1. The Statesmen captain leads the conference in assists (7), and ranks third in both goals (8) and points (23).
During his tenure at the Colleges, Subotowicz has recorded 92 career points, on 31 goals and 30 assists. On Oct. 8, he registered his 27th helper to break the Hobart career assists record. Jeff Saunders ’92 set the original mark (26) between 1989 and 1992.
Hobart will close out its regular season on Oct. 29 when the Statesmen host Fredonia State at 1:30 p.m.
