September 30, 2005

CLINTON, N.Y.—The Hobart soccer team scored two goals in under two minutes to defeat Hamilton College 2-1 in Liberty League action today. The 14th-ranked Statesmen improve their record to 9-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in league play, while the Continentals drop to 5-2-1 and 2-1-0 in the league.

Junior Brad Weinberg (Marcellus/Marcellus, N.Y.) assisted on both Hobart goals, setting up first-year Cody Christensen (The Loomis Chaffee School/Guilford, Conn.) for his first collegiate goal in the 71st minute of play, and then tapping a free kick to classmate Tyler Webster (Acton-Boxboro/Acton, Mass.) for the game-winner less than two minutes later.
