Dan Riso

GENEVA, N.Y.—Sophomore Dan Riso (Red Hook Central/Red Hook, N.Y.) was named Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the week, following his outstanding play in the Golisano Children’s Hospital Tournament held at Brockport over the weekend.

Riso led the Statesmen past Alfred on Saturday, netting three goals in the second half to record his first career hat-trick.

The Hobart soccer team owns a 2-0 overall mark after defeating Alfred 6-1 in the opening round, and Brockport 1-0 in overtime in the championship game. Hobart will be in action again on Sept. 7 when it hosts RIT at 4:30 p.m.
