GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart sophomore Dan Riso (Red Hook Central/Red Hook, N.Y.) continues to collect awards for his performances in two games last week. He was named the ECAC Upstate Offensive Player of the Week yesterday, after recently being named the RACA Male Athlete of the Week and the Liberty League Men’s Soccer Offensive Perfomer of the Week.
A forward, Riso netted two goals to lead the Statesmen to two Liberty League wins last week. He scored the game-winner in a hard-fought double-overtime victory over Liberty League opponent St. Lawrence, helping his team snap a 15-game losing streak to the Saints, before going on to tally an insurance goal in a 3-0 win over Clarkson the next day. Riso leads the Statesmen in goals (6) and points (14).
Hobart, 11-2-0 overall and 5-0-0 in conference play, will return to action on Oct. 14 when it travels to Nazareth College to take on the Golden Flyers in a non-league game at 1 p.m.
