GENEVA, N.Y.—Sophomore Dan Riso (Red Hook Central/Red Hook, N.Y.) was named the Rochester Area Colleges Athletics Male Athlete of the Week today. Riso has played an instrumental role on the Hobart College soccer team this season, helping the Statesmen to an 11-1-0 overall record and a 5-0-0 Liberty League mark.

Riso totaled two goals in two games for the Statesmen last week. He netted the game-winning goal in a thrilling 1-0 double-overtime victory over league opponent St. Lawrence on Friday, before scoring Hobart’s third goal of the day in a 3-0 win over Clarkson on Saturday. Riso leads the team in goals (6) and points (14).

The Statesmen will be in action today when they host Ithaca in a non-league game on Cozzens Field at 4 p.m.
